Elisabeth - Rastlose Jahre + Die Schattern Werden Länger

I discovered this musical a few years ago, and It's been my favorite show since then. It recounts the history of Empress Elisabeth of Austria while adding a romance between her and Death. Okay, it sounds a bit strange when I put it that way, but it's really good. Good music, good characters, and all that jazz.

This clip contains two songs from the second act of the musical. The first song takes place during a time when Elisabeth was unhappy with her husband and her whole life in general. She kept traveling to avoid Vienna. The guy in the black shirt who criticizes her is Luigi Lucheni, her assassin and the narrator of the musical. The second song (starting around 2:20) is one of the show's biggest hits. In this scene, Death basically tries to convince Rudolf (Elisabeth's unhappy son who eventually commits suicide) to get involved in politics. This results in a conflict between him and his father, and it ends in Rudolf's death.
